tSw Administrative Counseling Leadership Team

The Shepherd’s Way Biblical Counseling Centers (tSw) of Northeast Grand Rapids and Holland Michigan are primarily venues for those who go on to pursue IRBC or ACBC certification after completing their basic training in biblical counseling.  Along with fulfilling additional reading and counseling observation requirements, those pursuing certification must successfully sustain theological and counseling exams, as well as engage in 50 hours of supervised counseling.  The majority of our tSw counselors at these branches are counselor trainees fulfilling supervised counseling requirements.  We are also blessed to have a male and female certified counselor in each of our centers.

A Double Blessing

The tSw counseling centers have been used of God to provide for His people a double blessings.  One dimension of the blessing is experienced by those who counsel.  Our counselor trainees are blessed as the Lord brings to them people from Holland and Grand Rapids and surrounding communities for counseling, thereby assisting them in fulfilling their supervised counseling requirements.  Members of the community are also blessed as tSw’s counselors are used to bring God’s truth to bear on the issues with which they are dealing.  The Shepherd’s Way GR NE is located in the Grace Immanuel Reformed Baptist Church at 860 Peachcrest Court North East, Grand Rapids, MI. The Shepherd’s Way Central is located at the Bethany United Reformed Church at 5401 Byron Center SW, Wyoming, MI. The Shepherd’s Way West is located in the Ministry Center of the Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church on 259 Central Ave, Holland, MI.
We thank the Lord for the manner in which He is using these centers to bless those who are being counseled.  So far we have received excellent feedback from both local pastors who have referred congregants for counseling and from counselees.  A male counselee summarized his time of counseling by saying, “Very positive experience!  Thank you to all who have helped.”  A female counselee shared some of the following words on her final evaluation form, “I enjoyed getting to know my counselors.  They both encouraged me during a rough time…I am thankful these ladies gave of their time and knowledge to help me.” We have truly been blessed with wonderful counselors at both tSw centers. Please pray that God will continue to use the counselors at both centers to richly bless God’s suffering people in this region.
